All twelve districts of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod meet in convention during the summer of every odd numbered year. These synod wide conventions are generally held in Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Michigan. Each of the twelve districts of the WELS meet in convention during the summer of even numbered years. Each convention is held within its respective district.
The Convention Theme: "Declare His Praises"
With Heartfelt Gratitude The constituency of the Arizona~Calilfornia District gratefully acknowledges the service and dedication of Pastor Paul Janke who has faithfully served our Lord and his church as District President for the past ten years. His wisdom, leadership, and humble demeanor have served to promote the bond of unity that our district and our synod share in Christ. May the Lord continue to bless him, his family, and his ministry as he serves the Lord's church.
